Safe Spaces & SRHR Life Skills Training
Ongoing

Inua Kike Organization's "Safe Spaces & SRHR Life Skills Training" initiative is dedicated to educating adolescent girls in Nairobi's informal settlements about sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR).
The program establishes safe spaces where girls can access accurate information on SRHR, receive mentorship, and build confidence. These environments are crucial in areas where misinformation and stigma often hinder open discussions about reproductive health.
Workshops cover topics such as menstrual hygiene, contraception, consent, and gender equality. By equipping girls with this knowledge, the program aims to reduce instances of teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
Mentorship is a key component, with trained facilitators guiding participants through discussions and activities that promote self-awareness and empowerment.
The initiative also collaborates with local schools and community leaders to ensure a supportive network for the girls, enhancing the program's effectiveness and reach.
Regular evaluations are conducted to assess the program's impact, with feedback used to refine and adapt the curriculum to better meet the participants' needs.
Through this initiative, Inua Kike is fostering a generation of informed and empowered young women capable of making decisions that positively impact their health and futures.
